The Journey
Holiness, home and health.
What I consider to be the three main pillars of my life, and I hope that anyone who knows me would be able to say the same. (Family looped into "home", of course!)
Hello from Hannah is a place where I can sit down (welcome to my office, i.e. the dining table/kitchen counter/couch/etc.) and share bits and pieces of these pillars. Here I can share stories and laugh at many after-the-facts, and most importantly, rest in the truth that even what seems to be mundane has a holy purpose. A truth that can be easily forgotten when you are eyebrow deep in raising littles!
I want to share in the joy (and often chaos!) that is found in intentional living with family and friends, the slow ordinary moments that ultimately hold the most life, and my love for trying to cultivate a home that feels like a retreat for our family. More intention, less rush, if you will.
And, if you are into the art of beautiful handwriting, I share a little bit of that here, too. My progress, personal projects and even my favorite little tools and inspiration.

About Me
The short version is that I am a wife, a mom of 3, a lover of all things childbirth, a hard core homebody with a strong adventure streak, and above all, a Jesus follower of nearly 20 years.
A longer version of the same story is that I am the oldest of four siblings, all of whom are some of my best friends. Our parents are both small town country folk (find Ida and Rayville, LA on the map!), and that slow country way of living they brought into their parenting laid a foundational layer in my upbringing that I grow to appreciate more and more the older I get.
I got to marry my best friend over 10 years ago and what a ride it has been! We are raising our little family in Shreveport, Louisiana close to so many family members, a gift that I sorely undervalued prior to becoming a parent. The miracle of becoming a mom is honest to goodness indescribable, an opportunity that for a while did not seem like it would be possible for us as I was diagnosed with endometriosis in my early twenties. But, God had a different story written for our life!
After leaving the RN life to be a SAHM (so not what I had initially planned to do) after our first daughter came along, I really dove into how to best smooth out the mechanics of our home: how to build habits that would help make our lifestyle slower and more intentional, making non-toxic swaps where we could, cooking from scratch, filling our home with friends and family, and the list goes on. It was also during this time that I learned more about the calligraphy world and really fell in love with how therapeutic those evening hours of practicing became for me as a new mom.
I am excited to share bits and pieces of our life here on the "digital paper". As I sit here and type this all out, I am thinking about the tubs and tubs of journals that we have in our attic. I have no idea how many I have filled - a lot! They are filled with mostly prayers, lots of moments I have not wanted to forget, failures, victories, doodles... you name it. All that to say, I really love to write. I hope that if you hang out here for a little bit, you will find something that is relatable, encouraging or helpful.
You being here means the world to me.
